"You seem really upset, is there anything you need?"
"You've been cold lately, what did I do wrong?"
"Did you know your face turns red when you're mad?
"Your sarcasm is just another way of deflecting!"
Remember: Catch Your Own Projections
About This Session
As we go through life, our behavior is being “mirrored” or reflected back to us by everyone we interact with. When you look in the mirror, you want to see a clear image of who you are – not an image that’s become distorted. It’s crucial to recognize when someone is projecting onto you – notice the intensity coming from them like a high-charged over-reaction. We’re often guilty ourselves of projecting our strong opinions, beliefs and judgments onto our friends, when all they might need is an honest reflection back of how we’re experiencing them. The trick in life is to catch your own projections.
